Guest guest Posted October 2, 2002 Report Share Posted October 2, 2002 FROM: http://members.tripod.com/~gfcfrecipes/ Fritter Cornstarch Bread 2 1/2 c cornstarch 6tbsp. potato starch (not floir) 2tbsp. sw. rice flour 2 packs quick rise yeast (4 1/2 tsp) 1 large egg -sub with ener-g egg replacer- 1/4 cup sugar ( I also add 2 -3 tbsp honey for donuts) 1 1/2 tsp xanthan Gum 3 tbsp ground Almonds 2 cups hot water (120f) 2 1/2 tbsp veg oil 1 1/2 tsp salt ( I omit) *For donuts add... 2 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp nutmeg lemond rind (optional) Cimbine: cornstarch, pot starch, sw rice fl, yeast, sugar, Xanthan gum, gr. almonds, nutmeg...whirl to mix......... Add hot water (with egg) and honey..whip and add to dry mixture..beat on high 3-4 min let stand 15min add oil and beat...let rise..... drop tsp batter into hot oil...cook till golden brown I also dust with cin/sugar or gf icing sugar powder These feeze nicely Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
