Guest guest
What function do the dates/raisins have in this recipe. If my son can't do dates what would you replace them with or would you just omit them? Probably substituting more raisins, or some other sweet dried fruit that he can eat, instead would work. Figs probably wouldn't be sweet enough, but might be good; dried pineapple chopped up would probably be sweet enough, but would be fibery. I think I'd probably go with just more raisins.
