Guest guest Posted September 17, 2002 Report Share Posted September 17, 2002 Salisbury Steaks Source: veganmeat.com 8oz Gimme Lean Burger Flavor* 1 cup Moringstar Farms Burger Crumbles, or Yves Veggie Ground Round or Natural Touch Crumbles. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/4 tsp garlic powder Pan Spary or cooking oil Your favorite gravy Mix Gimme Lean, crumbles, breadcrumbs, onion and garlic powders. Form into oval burger shapes. heat a large, heavy frying pan, sprayed or oiled. Brown steaks on both sides. Add 1/4 cup water, cover and cook gently for 10 minutes, or until heated through. Water should be evaporated. If not, uncover and simmer until water is gone. Pour prepared gravy over steaks, and cook gently 5 more minutes. Serve with potatos. Makes about 5-6 steaks. *If not available, use equal amount of another good-quality crumble, processed in food processor or blender to a creamy, pate-like consistency.
