EXPANDED ALLERGY ALERT - IMAGINE FOODS ISSUES ALERT ON

RICE DREAM BRAND AND SOY DREAM BRAND NON-DAIRY FROZEN

DESSERTS

 

August 30, 2002 - The public alerts issued by Imagine Foods Inc. of San

Carlos, California, USA, have been expanded to include all Rice Dream

brand and Soy Dream brand Non-Dairy Frozen Desserts with codes up to

and including 2223. Imagine Foods Inc. of San Carlos, California, USA is

voluntarily recalling Rice Dream brand and Soy Dream brand non-dairy

frozen desserts, because they may contain undeclared milk protein. People

who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk protein run the risk of

serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

This alert is of concern to those individuals who have allergies to milk

protein.

 

All sizes, and all codes up to and including 2223, of the Rice Dream brand

and Soy Dream brand Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert products listed in the

attached table are affected by this alert. (see

The code is located on the bottom of the container.

 

The affected products were distributed nationally through retail stores.

 

There has been one illness reported to date.

 

Consumers who have purchased any of the products listed on this notice

are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers
