Guest guest
Hi Lynette, I purchase quinoa flakes at the health food store, although several times I've been fortunate enough to find them in a regular grocery store. The brand I find most often is Ancient Harvest Quinoa Flakes. The flakes are smaller than oat flakes, but work quite nicely. They are tender and adapt nicely. I recently found another brand of quinoa flakes at the health food store, packaged in a celephane wrapper. I asked the manager of the hfs if they order quinoa flakes in quantity so I could stock up. I'm still waiting for a reply. . .they said they would check. I hope you like the granola. I really do like this recipe. IMHO, the secret of tasty granola is to use more seeds than nuts. It isn't quite so chewy, but has enough crunch to satisfy. LaDonna PS: Here's the address for Ancient Harvest: Quinoa Corporation, PO Box 279, Gardena, California 90248 - " The Kraft's " Re: Stovetop Granola > Sounds great!! Can I ask where you would get Quinoa flakes? I've never seen those. That's been my problem is finding something to replace the normal oats in granola. > Thanks! > Lynnette : )
