Avocado Cream Bread Spread

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 large ripe avocado

1 box (12.3 oz) silken tofu -- firm

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 cup honey - or alternative

1/8 cup onion -- packed into cup

1 small clove garlic

 

Cut avocado in half. Remove seed and scoop out pulp. Blend avocado with other

ingredients until smooth and creamy. Chill. Keeps 3 days. Serve on toast or

as a thick dressing.

 

Makes 23 one-ounce servings. Calories per serving = 26. Source: Taste of
