Guest guest Posted May 28, 2002 Report Share Posted May 28, 2002 Onion Quiche Pie Source: The Foster's Favorites 1 cup water 1/2 cup raw cashews, cleaned 1 Tbsp. onion granules 1 lb. drained tofu 2 Tbsp. arrowroot 1/8 tsp. garlic powder, or 1 small clove fresh garlic 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. basil 1 large onion 4 green onions Combine the water and cashews and blend until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Saute 1 chopped onion in small amount of water. Add onion and four chopped green onions to mixture (may substitute broccoli or spinach). Pour filling into a gluten-free pie shell, cover with foil, and bake at 350 degrees F. for 1 hour. Uncover and continue baking until set.
