Guest guest
Hi, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Janet and I live in Melbourne. I've been vegetarian for 20 years and was diagnosed as gluten intolerant about 5 years ago. I was managing quite well on a low-gluten diet and not having too many problems. Then last September I went vegan, and having to avoid gluten as well seemed too restrictive so I pretty much gave up on it. I've been eating wheat with a vengeance and am really starting to suffer for it now with lots of digestive and skin problems. I intend to go gluten-free again but am feeling overwhelmed and depressed at the number of additional things I'll have to cut out of my diet, having gone through the same process with eggs and dairy just 8 months ago. My friends and relatives already complain about how difficult I am to feed, and I dread telling them about the gluten. I'd love to hear from other people who've been through it and survived! Many thanks Janet
