Guest guest
Sunburgers (adapted to gf) 3 cups water 1/8 cup onions, dried only 1 tsp. thyme 3 cups quinoa flakes 1/4 cup liquid aminos (Bragg's) 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 1/8 cup brewers yeast flakes 1 cup sunflower seeds, raw salt to taste Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bring 3 cups water to a boil in kettle. Mix in all ingredients. While stirring constantly, add 3 cups quick oats, let stand for 1/2 hour to thicken up. Form patties. Place on lightly oiled cookie sheet and bake for 40 minutes. Turn patties and continue to bake up to 20 minutes more. These patties freeze well. ***If you don't have quinoa flakes available, I have found that whole quinoa, well cooked, works very well for this recipe. The flavor is nutty and delicious. This recipe was designed to use oatmeal, but my family believes the quinoa patties have an even better flavor.
