Guest guest
My doctor wants me to go on a candida diet for a while. I looked over the recommended menu on the paperwork he handed me, and it's really set up for meat eaters -- kind of an Atkins diet with more vegetables. Since I've had my diagnosis, I've done a lot of cooking with rice and rice noodles -- I love Asian and Indian food -- and corn; I bake with corn and rice flours. I'm also fond of beans. After looking over the candida diet list, I'm wondering if I'm going to be living on broccoli and air -- I refuse to make things " easy " by going onto meat and eggs. Can anyone give me some pointers here? What do I " really " have to give up? I'd heard elsewhere I should quit mushrooms, but my doctor said no, I didn't really have to. If I have to give up rice as a starch -- and, I suppose, rice pasta -- do I still have to cut out Asian rice noodles? Do I actually have to cut out rice and beans? What about potatoes? If anyone can provide some advice here -- or menu suggestions -- I'd really appreciate it. Marakay
