Guest guest Posted February 14, 2002 Report Share Posted February 14, 2002 Maple Cherry Syrup 1 1/2 cups maple syrup 1 cup brown sugar, packed 1/2 cup honey (or liquid alternative) 2 oranges, juiced 1 tsp. orange peel 2 lemons, juiced 1 tsp. lemon peel 2 Tbsp. vegan margarine 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 cup tart dried cherries, chopped Combine maple syrup, brown sugar, honey, juices and grated rind in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, simmer 10 minutes. Add cherries, cook 2 minutes. Serve over pancakes, waffles, etc. Yield: 2 cups.
