Guest guest
Caramelized Maple Tofu 1 lb extra firm silken tofu ½ c maple syrup 2 c. fresh berries Slice tofu horizontally into two or three slices about ½ inch thick, and then cut them in half vertically. Place in a container and cover thoroughly with the maple syrup. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Turn slices about halfway through marinate time. Grill or fry the tofu slices over a medium heat until just warm, about three minutes on either side. Place on a dessert plate and drizzle with a bit of maple syrup. Serve with fresh berries. Variation: Drizzle the tofu with fresh orange and lime juice instead of more maple syrup.
