Guest guest Posted December 26, 2001 Report Share Posted December 26, 2001 Mushroom Gravy Source: Five Loaves Cookbook 1/3 cup cashews 1 cup hot, cooked rice or cooked garbanzos 2 Tbsp. dried onions 1 Tbsp. McKay's Chicken-style Seasoning (or alternative) 4 Tbsp. Bragg's Liquid Aminos (or 2 Tbsp. soy sauce) 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 3 Tbsp. cornstarch 3 1/2 cups water 1 - 4 oz. can mushrooms Place all ingredients except mushrooms in blender with 2 cups of the water. Blend for at least one minute until smooth, adding remaining water at the end. Place in a sauce pan with mushrooms and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add more water if needed to the desired consistency.
