Guest guest Posted December 20, 2001 Report Share Posted December 20, 2001 Carob Coated Kisses Source: Country Kitchen Collection 1 cup peanut butter 1 cup chopped dates 1/4 - 1/2 cup honey 1 cup chopped almonds 1 cup ground granola (wheat free if necessary) 1/2 cup soy milk powder or 1 cup tofu milk powder 2 - 3 Tbsp. juice or water 2 cups carob chips Mix all ingredients together with hands except carob chips. Melt carob chips. Dip candy pieces into carob and refrigerate. Store in refrigerator. ***Note: wheat germ may be substituted for granola if you do not require a wheat free recipe. ***Note: if you cannot tolerate gluten, please be sure the carob chips are gluten-free. http://www.Christian-Vegan-Cooking http://www. I've been enjoying all the wonderful recipes from this list and have been passing them along. In reference to honey -- not all vegans consider honey to be a vegan product and, if you are one of those people, molasses is a good substitute. I've used molasses in recipes that call for honey and have had no problem with the finished product! Happy Holidays everyone!
