Guest guest Posted November 21, 2001 Report Share Posted November 21, 2001 Gourmet Millet Balls Source: MIL's recipe file Soak 2/3 cup raw soybeans overnight in about 3 cups water. Drain soybeans and whiz in blender: 2 cups soaked soybeans 1/2 cup water 1 medium onion Combine with: 1 1/2 cups cooked millet 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 cup sunflower seeds 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs (gluten-free if necessary) 1/2 cup slivered almonds 1/2 tsp. salt Let stand 5 - 10 minutes. Form into balls. Roll in 1/2 cup seasoned crumbs. Bake on lightly sprayed cookie sheet or line pan with pan liner paper. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes. Serve with tomato sauce, if desired.
