Guest guest Posted November 13, 2001 Report Share Posted November 13, 2001 4 TBS butter or margarine melted 4 TBS cornstarch 2 tsp beeflike soup base ( 1 env. george washington & 3/4 tsp Vegx) 1/4 tsp. onion salt 2 cups hot water 1) combine flour soup base onion satl. Add to butter or margarine and cook to a golden brown, string fequently to prevent burning. 2) Add water and bring to boil. Simmer slowly 5 to 10 mins. more or less water may be used depending on desired consistancy. yeilds: 2 cups I found that adding the corn starch on step 2 works better.
