Guest guest Posted November 4, 2001 Report Share Posted November 4, 2001 Rice Waffles Source: NEWSTART Lifestyle Cookbook 1 3/4 cups water 1 cup soaked brown rice (soak rice in water for several hours or overnight) 1/2 cup nuts or sunflower seeds 1 cup cooked brown rice 1/2 cup water 1/3 cup unsweetened coconut (optional) 1 tsp. vanilla, or 1/2 tsp. maple flavoring 1/2 tsp. salt Process first 3 ingredients in a blender for about 1 minute. Add remaining ingredients and continue blending until smooth. Pour onto preheated waffle iron, sprayed with a pan spray, covering all the grids and edges. Bake utnil steaming stops, about 10 minutes.
