Someone who is proficient in metric measurements might want to help us out here! LaDonna RADISH CAKE Source: East-West Desserts Ing: 600 g rice flour 1.2 kg radish, grated 1 cellophane sheet for lining steamer 1 c cornflour 8 c water 1 t salt Procedure: - Peel and grate radish -Place rice flour into a mixing bowl. Add in cornflour, water, and salt. Mix well. Stir in grated radish. -Line steamer with cellophane sheet and pour in the radish-and-flour mixture. Steam for 2 hours. -Remove and let cool. Cut into slices and fry with a little oil. The girl who posted it is only 17 and trying very hard to be vegan in a world full of friends and family who don't understand. I too wonder exactly what type of radish she means. . . LaDonna PS: For calorie counters, instead of frying this, use a non-stick skillet and a non-stick spray and brown on the stove. This type of thing works great when baked in an oven also, especially if you use a baking stone.
