Guest guest Posted October 12, 2001 Report Share Posted October 12, 2001 Cream of Chestnut Soup Source: Eat for Strength (Thrash) 1 cup chestnuts 3 - 4 cups water 2 Tbsp. starch 1 1/2 tsp. salt Roast the chestnuts in the shell at 250 degrees for 45 minutes. Shell chestnuts. Mix all ingredients and liquefy. Bring to a boil. Serve over croutons or dry rice.
