Guest guest Posted September 26, 2001 Report Share Posted September 26, 2001 Vegan Pesto Sauce Source: Cooking Class 1/2 cup pine nuts or pecans or walnuts 1/4 cup olive oil 1/3 cup water 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice 1 cup fresh basil leaves (loosely packed) 3 - 4 large cloves garlic 1/2 teaspoon salt (or 2 Tbsp. vegan parmesan; commercial or recipe previously posted) Place all ingredients in blender or food processor and process until smooth. Very nice when tossed with cooked pasta and homemade sundried tomatoes. may also toss in grilled mushrooms, eggplant and zucchini, or crookneck squash for a delicious pasta primavera.
