Guest guest
I think I have a wheat allergy, but I haven't been " tested " for it. I generally try to avoid eating wheat because I think I'm sensitive to it, but every once in awile I'll eat it. Then the next day, I feel really tired and depressed, I have dark circles under my eyes, my mouth feels dry, my throat feels scratchy, etc. Does that sound like I might have an allergy to wheat? If so, does it sound like it might be a permanent allergy? Because this had been the situation pretty much for years. Get email alerts & NEW webcam video instant messaging with Messenger http://im. Guest guest
Hi Anthony. That does sound like a wheat allergy. If it's permanent or not really depends on what kind of allergic reaction you're having. I am on a list group about the use of digestive enzymes, and some people on the list have had success using enzymes to help digest some allergens, but only when the reaction is to undigested proteins. Avoiding a food for a long time can sometimes allow you to be able to consume that food again, in small quantities. It can be dangerous to mess around with allergies, though. I'd suggest getting tested for a wheat allergy, talk to a good allergist about what kind of allergy this is, avoid wheat for a while, then, if the allergist says it's ok, slowly re-introduce it, maybe with some enzymes if it's a protein reaction. Off-topic, I hope everyone out there is ok, I've been watching the news all morning, and I'm just in shock. Allison - Anthony Shale Tuesday, September 11, 2001 3:23 AM Do I have a wheat allergy?
