Last week I posted a recipe that included Smart Links Italian " Sausage " and

someone was concerned that it might not be vegan and GF. I bought some more

this week. Here are the ingredients: Water, Tofu (organic soybeans, water,

magnesium chloride), isolated soy protein, soy protein concentrate, soy oil,

tapioca starch, salt, rice syrup solids, natural vegetable flavors, spices,

modified vegetable gum, malt extract.

 

My son is very allergic to corn and wheat, but didn't react to these at all. I

didn't call the manufacturer about the vegetable flavors, gum or malt (bad

mommy), like I usually do. If anyone can see anything else here, let me know.

Otherwise, they are very good and even dh likes them.

I would be concerened about the natural vegetable flavors and I know my dd

reacts to malt anything.
