Guest guest
favorite Milk Source:The Benton Sisters' kitchen? Vol. I 1C. millet, cooked 1C. Cashews 2TBSP. honey 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla (non-alcohol) 6 1/2 c. water Blend cashews with a bit of water till smooth. Add millet and more water to blend till smooth again. While blending, add other ingredients. The longer the blending, the less grainy the milk so don't rush the blending. Add remaining water. This milk is wonderfully smooth and creamy. A small amount of sediment may be strained out if desired. Yields 2 quarts ( 25-30 cents per quart). Hint(from me) make 5+ cups ahead. 2 1/2 cups dry millet. then freeze the rest in one cup measurements for next time 1 cup dry millet to 1 3/4 water.
