Guest guest
Freezing Food: The Mac-n-Cheese recipe in our archives freezes nicely. I've prepared it " as written " but don't bake. . .freeze. . .and then bake when ready to serve. I've done the same with baked beans. . . .using cooked pintos and flavorings/sweetenings, freezing them until needed, and then taking out and baking. I don't thaw them. . .but put them directly in a warming (not too hot) oven straight from the freezer. I also keep pinto beans, lentils, soy beans, and other cooked beans in the freezer in zip-lock bags (usually premeasured in 1 cup portions) and then take them out and use as needed in recipes. I'd like to second Amy's suggestion to not by shy about sharing recipes! The more the better!!!!! LaDonna
