Guest guest
Cauliflower with Fennel & Mustard Seeds Source: Nature's Bounty list 1 large or 2 medium-sized cauliflowers 7 T vegetable oil 2 t fennel seeds 1 T whole black mustard seeds 1 T finely chopped garlic ¼ t turmeric ¼ - 1/3 t cayenne pepper about 1 ½ t salt 4-6 T water or broth Cut the cauliflower into small flowerettes and put them in a bowl of cold water for at least ½ hour. Drain them just before you are ready to cook. Heat the oil in a large frying pan. When hot, add the fennel and mustard seeds; as soon as they begin to pop, add the garlic and fry `til the pieces are lightly browned. Add the turmeric and cayenne; stir once and add the cauliflower, salt and about 4 tablespoons of water or broth. Stir and cook over medium heat for 6-7 minutes or until cauliflower is just done...it should retain its crispness and there should be no liquid left.
