The kids you serve this to will never know there is cabbage in it! Cashew gravy (recipe follows) 4 cups cooked macaroni (may use corn or quinoa or rice) 4 cups chopped cooked cabbage (do not overcook) 1 tsp. salt Mix gravy, cabbage and macaroni gently. Put in casserole. May put crunches on top. Bake 30 minutes or until hot at 350 degrees. Serves: 10 -- 1/2 cup servings Calories: 147 calories per serving Cashew Gravy 2 cups hot water 1/2 cup cashews 2 tsp. onion powder 2 Tbsp. cornstarch or arrowroot starch 1/2 tsp. salt Blend until smooth. Pour in small pan and bring to boil. Use as is for white sauce. Add 1 Tbsp. nutritional food yeast for gravy.
