Guest guest Posted March 20, 2001 Report Share Posted March 20, 2001 Baked Apples source: recipes from the Weimar kitchen 4 Golden Delicious apples ( we like granny smith) chopped dates chopped nuts raisins 1/2 cup water 1t. fresh lemon juice 1 t. vanilla pare about 1 inch of peeling of the top of the apples. If apples do not sit straight, cut a thin slice off the bottom. Core and stuff cavity with dates, nuts, and raisins. Place in a casserole dish. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over the apples. cover and bake at 350 F for 45 mins. or until tender to fork.
