Well Hi there PC360 and welcome to the group. You're not so far from where I am,

really -

we're in southwestern Ontario. Not exactly a veggie sanctuary~

You've come to the right place to talk to other veggies, of course - and there

are quite a

number of members who, like you, have always been vegetarian. (That always puts

me in

awe.) And if we're all 'weird', well, we're weird in the nicest possible way,

huh? :=) (Weird

indeed! Some people!)

We hope you'll write in lots and give us the benefit of your lifelong experience

- and some

recipes too? Or just to chat about being veggie . . .

Best,

Pat (Co-owner, VegetarianSlimming)

Hello,

I am not a true vegetarian. I would like to eat more vegetables and include them

more in my diet.

I am very interested in becoming more healthy, having more energy, losing about

45 pounds and having fun in the process.

I did try being a proper vegetarian in my 20's and got a lot of flack about it

from my " then " boyfriend who was a big meat eater.

I have done weekend juice fasting with yoga and meditation and felt very good.

But have not done much of that sort of thing in about 10 years.

I don't feel sick, but I have stiff joints, not as much energy as I used to, and

I'm not happy about my dis-interest in cooking and eating. I feel it is such a

chore to cook and to come up with ideas for myself and the family. The kids are

pretty harsh food critics. They will eat veggies only if I have plenty of Ranch

dressing on hand. (I make sure it says " light " )

Well, that is my news.

I hope to hear from the fellow slim-want-abees and veggie-slimmers
