Guest guest Posted October 14, 2005 Report Share Posted October 14, 2005 This can substitute for dairy sour cream in any recipe: Tofu Sour Cream From " Vegan Vittles " by Joanne Stepaniak 1 10.5 oz pkg lite silken tofu (firm) 1 Tbs canola oil 2 tsp fresh lemon juice 2 tsp apple cider vinegar 1 tsp sweetener of choice 1/ 2 tsp salt Blend all ingredients in food processor until smooth. Guest guest Posted October 28, 2005 Report Share Posted October 28, 2005 Hi Maida - I'm a bit behind on my posts to this list, but all's well now :=) About the tofu sour cream - I've been making mine that way, only with slightly different measurements (well, it would be wouldn't it - considering I'd not seen this excellent recipe!) and missing out the canola oil because I didn't think to add oil at all.
