summer dishes ?

Robin, have fun in DC and your march. I enjoyed reading your email. My

grand daughter lives in DC. I did not read your email before I asked about

summer dishes in the previous email. Guess I should read the whole digest

before

asking something.

 

I too have been eating more raw everything.

Hi,

I unfortunately haven't had a lot of time to look through all the

posts myself. I'm finally back from D.C. WOW!! talk about busy and

confusing. My intension was to visit an Indian restaurant while I was

there... but unfortunately we were in a part of the city that was

hotels and office buildings for blocks and blocks. Our Hotel had a

fire the second day we were there. There were people sleeping on the

streets and people that approached you asking you to buy them things

or give them what you had. The girl from work I was with didn't want

to venture out too far. We did some exploring, but veggie cuisine

wasn't readily available where we were. I did get a veggie meal at the

award luncheon, it was filo (?) dough wrapped around a variety of

mushrooms on a bed of lentl beans in a tomato sauce with red peppers

and spinach.

I found things on the hotel menu I could manage with, am glad to be

back in my own kitchen!! If you know of some good summer dishes,

please pass them along... Thanks for the response Louise!
