Guest guest
> Does anyone know if decaffeinated green tea has the same health benefits > as regular green tea? Just wondering... > Thanks, > Karen When we were in China a couple of years ago, we visited a tea plantation and had a lecture on green tea/ According to our lecturere " Dr. Tea, " decafffeinating does remove some of the benefits. He also stated that the lowest quality tea goes into tea bags, and you should really use loose tea for maximum benefits. (But maybe that's because he was selling loose tea.) As far as flavor goes, anyway, I have to agree with him. BTW, green tea has only about half the caffeine of black tea, and 1/8 or less the caffeine in coffee. Also, rooibus tea (from South Africa) is supposed to have pretty much the same health benefits as green tea without any caffeine whatsoever. (It's not really tea.) My favorite tea is a white tea called Silver Needle (or Silver Rain). It's rather expensive, but very good. Annice
Guest guest
Hi Annice, Thanks so much for all the information about green tea. I'll look out for rooibus tea, and will definitely switch to loose tea. Regards, Karen
