health risks of meat

Dear Friends,

All of us, I'm sure, are aware of the increased health risks

associated with eating meat. Yesterday, a friend of mine told me

that a report came out strongly linking consumption of processed

meats with an increased risk of pancreatic cancer. As pancreatic

cancer is one of the most insidious and untreatable forms of the

disease, this news only reinforced the intelligence of my decision

to banish meat from my diet.

I was wondering whether any of you here heard about or read

this report and whether a link to the story might be found. I have

looked and so far have not been able to find anything.
