Guest guest
Thanks for this piece Pat, I love cabbage and eat it almost daily. To mention this week: - Sunday: red cabbage, here sold in jars slightly seasoned and often with apple - Monday: spitskool (my dictionary says " Ox heart or conical cabbage " ) - wonderful with Indonesian dishes e.g. Gado Gado (vegetables with spicy peanut sauce) - For later: green or white cabbage, both are great with all kinds of recipes - Sometime: chinese kool ( " chinese cabbage " or " chinese leaves " ) - good to include in noodle dishes, also for Gado Gado. I don't know whether sorts of cabbage are available in your countries and what different names they have - in England for instance red cabbage is usually pickled with vinegar. And should we include brussels sprouts, those miniature cabbages? Piers
