Guest guest
Thanks Pat. I dusted off my Fit For Life book and cookbook last night, and have decided to use that as the basis for weight loss. Its rather more the way I eat than some low this/high that/count everything plan. I like the simplicity...and the fact you can eat anything you want if you choose to have a splurge, as long as the combination is right. And it is easy to keep to when feeding others or eating out. We had 20 " of snow Tuesday so I'm not sure I'm getting out for a walk today, again, as its pretty crunchy out there, but the border collie needs to, so she will spur me to at least a short one. I guess it was pretty dusty! ;=) It must be about 20 yrs old, right? I know that the Fit For Life groups on have all faded away. You'll be doing the vegetarian version of course (I add that to let anyone who *doesn't* know of the diet know that you don't have to eat me*t to follow it - to save them asking!) >Its rather more the way I eat > than some low this/high that/count everything plan. But don't forget this group, as we say on the homepage, is a low-fat group - so we ask that any recipes or cooking tips you pass on observe that ;=) > I like the > simplicity...and the fact you can eat anything you want if you choose to > have a splurge, as long as the combination is right. Okay, whatever turns you on ;=) It's in effect a lowish-carb diet really, with some rather strict rules about what you're allowed to eat when. On vegetarianslimming we are concerned with good healthy foods in a balanced vegetarian diet with little fat. I think you should find some good recipes here that will be useful for you. We have a good many stir-fries and casseroles that of course combine vegetables with grains. They'd do nicely for your lunch or dinner, I'd think. Anyway, check out the Files ;=) And congratulations on deciding to lose some weight - it's always for some reason a decision we like to put off - as if we *like* carrying those extra pounds! LOL Welcome again - and post when you like, of course ;=) Best, Pat ;=)
