Actually, it's pretty easy ;=) All you have to do is say no more LOL However, I'm not of the school that thinks a little white pasta or bread (often difficult not to have if one is eating out in other than health food restaurants) will be harmful once in a while. But, by and large, I think it's like becoming vegetarian: rather than kidding themselves that they are 'becoming' vegetarian by eating a little less meat, many find it better to just switch. Likewise the decision to healthy food - which is also a positive step. >I rarely find > myself wanting it anymore but if I do I do not want to deny myself. But your business is *making* and selling cheesecakes, isn't it? Hence the 'CarouselCheesecakes' nik. LOL Why am I not surprised that you should decide that you should 'not want to deny' yourself? ;=) Cheesecake is part of your identity - indeed it *is* your ID on this list - and your 'Favourite Quote' is anti-diet. Perhaps, and only perhaps, you might find it easier to get your head into a groove that allows you to talk more positively about healthier foods if you were to adopt an alternate ID for this list? It's quick and easy to do - and lots of fun too! Just a thought! (Btw, I love the name CarouselCheesecakes because, like you, I love the idea of carousels and cheesecake, which I don't think I've eaten in something like twenty years or more - *looks* so pretty! But is it a *positive* image for the new healthier you?) Hey, I'm full of crazy new ideas this morning! While I'm on a roll: Just think, if you changed your ID your ID wouldn't be tempting those with a sweet tooth every time they see it!!! And congratulations on this enormous change you have already made - now another baby step and you're there? Best love, Pat ;=)
Guest guest
Actually my husband is the chef. I really don't do much in the way of eating or even making them. As for the name I have had it for so long and so many identify me with it that I really do not want to change it at this point. We do run a bakery and I collect carousels. Why else would I have a 5' tall one in my bedroom. It is a catchy name and no one ever forgets it. Especially when my last van had a colorful carousel on the side of it. I wish I had a good photo of it. Guest guest
> Actually my husband is the chef. I really don't do much in the way of > eating or even making them. Not? Okay. I was going by what you say on your CarouselCheesecakes profile of course. >As for the name I have had it for so long and > so many identify me with it that I really do not want to change it at this > point. I was betting you wouldn't, but it was a thought. Some things are just so much part of who we are and Cheesecake is you. You do sign Kirsten, however. > We do run a bakery and I collect carousels. . . . > It is a catchy name and no one ever forgets it. Quite a conflict for you, I guess. Total sympathy. But it's okay - I was only thinking of you and your tussle (on this list at least) with *not* eating wretched cheesecake and wanting it at the same time. What to do?? Think how disgusting it is? Persuade yourself it's wrecking your arteries and your bowels? Think of all that refined sugar and cholesterol just waiting for a heart/ stroke candidate? Any more suggestions??? ;=) But hey, why not switch to vegan cheesecake for when you're feeling tempted and absolutely can't resist??? Now that's a *good* thought! I still say you're doing well and we're proud of you! Keep up the good work! Are you completely veggie now? Best love, Pat ;=)
Guest guest
I know what goes into that junk. I don't eat it. Trust me when you smell it all the time the last thing you want is to eat it.
