Dear Friends,

Tonight I did my first workout at Curves for Women. I was

nervous, thought some of the equipment looked pretty intimidating.

But I did take my friend with me, we had such a good time, laughed

and supported each other. The women that were on staff were great,

went through the first circuit with us, explaining the equipment.

The other women who were there to work out were laughing with us. It

was a blast!

I not only did two complete circuits, but I did use every piece

of equipment! When we did the cool down stretching, I felt muscles I

didn't know I had. So far, so good... I'm feeling wonderful, a

little weak, but that's to be expected.

I'm eagerly looking forward to the next workout, hopefully on

Friday night, have to check my friend's schedule. She works nights.

I will be going three nights a week.

There were pictures on the wall of a woman that's a huge

success story. She's been attending for nearly 2 years and lost 194

1/2 pounds and about 60 inches over her entire body.

I was ready to give up, not try any more when I joined this

group. I apologize for being so depressed, sometimes life just

stomps on ya! When it rains it pours...

I feel really good right now, next thing to tackle is eating

more. I've been tracking my caloric intake and it's only averaging

about 860 calories a day. I'm not a big eater, never really hungry.

So I have to work on eating a little, more times a day. My veggie

friend had counseled me on that weeks ago. By the way, he and I have

chatted again. :) We've made a start at mending things. I had a lot

to apologize for. I was really wrapped up in feeling sorry for

myself.

I've done a lot of soul searching and I think I've found some

focus. If I'm going to be happy while on this journey, I'm going to

have to concentrate on the positive and refuse to let the negative

conquer me.

Thank all of you for being so kind, concerned and supportive. I

hope that as I take steps toward feeling better I will be able to

return the favor to my friends here.

Hugs,

Robin
