Hi,

This is a recipe I use often. The brownies taste rich, but they're not.

One of these days, when I'm feeling brave, I'll try cutting the sugar and

upping the Splenda to further reduce the calories.

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

-------- ------------ --------------------------------

1/2 cup cocoa

3/4 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup Splenda

2 egg whites

1/2 cup applesauce, unsweetened

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 tablespoon liqueur (chocolate or amaretto or coffee or whatever

you like)

1 tablespoon peanut butter

Spray an 8 " x 8 " pan with vegetable cooking spray. In a medium bowl, sift

together cocoa, flour, baking powder & salt. (measure ingredients before

sifting)

Combine peanut butter with liqueur and warm in the microwave. It will be

kind of gluey.

In a large bowl, mix peanut butter/liqueur combo with sugar and Splenda. It

will be crumbly and won't mix entirely.

Whisk in egg whites, applesauce & vanilla.

Combine flour mixture with egg white mixture. Put into prepared pan. Bake

35-40 minutes at 350F till a toothpick in the center comes out almost dry.

Don't overbake!
