Guest guest
> hey there. yeah hing goes bythe name asafetida, too. and yeah > cilantro..FRESH is the best Well, I've seen dried cilantro leaves, but the thought is rather yucky ;=( Anyway, it'd taste different - not that fresh taste of just out of the garden (or, let's be honest, fridge!) ;=) But cilantro, in one form or another, goes in so many things we make - either the roots in soups and stocks, the stems cut up very fine and added to anything we like, the leaves chopped and scattered over so many platters. The coriander seeds, of course, are great in so many curried dishes - hard to imagine doing without them! >so great to see another dveotee on > here!! how long have you been a devotee? how did you get involved? Maybe you've got me confused with another member, cuz I'm not hare krishna or anything ;=) Just like good food. I've been cooking asian food of various kinds for some years now - I guess I made my first Indian curry around, er, well, 45 or more years ago now LOL I began cooking other asian dishes about the same time, before it became 'stylish'. Just prefer that kind of food. Nice to hear your story of how you became veggie and then vegan ;=) Thanks. Good luck with the cooking zine! Keep us up to date about how it's going, won't you! Best, Pat ;=)
