I would have to say Dill, Rosemary and Basil. Those three add so much to pasta

dishes, soup, fresh bread,

potatoes, veggies... I like adding rosemary to my Gimme Lean sausage

(meatless of course) to make veggie sausage

patties, and basil adds so much to tomato dishes. Dill i love for pasta and

veggies, and i think all 3 are great on

potatoes :)

QUESTION - Your Favourite Herb or Spice?

I've asked this question on one of my other groups, but I was thinking that

this

group would have some great answers - you're so innovative in finding great

tasting low-fat dishes.

Sooooooo, what is your favourite herb or spice - the one you'd not like to do

without?? (I'm not counting salt and pepper or chillies, cayenne, etc.).

Maybe you have more than one?? Okay, Let's hear it - and WHY! LOL

Best.

Pat ;=)

I can not live witout HING!!!!!! being a hare krsna and

all, hee, hee, we don't use onion or garlic and hing replaces both in

recipes. i was raised on italian food so i always added tons of onion

and garlic to evertyhing. hing has saved me.

I agree with the Basil - the others I could do without maybe, but especially

fresh basil. Even the dried stuff helps in so many dishes. Fantastic! ;=)
