Guest guest
http://www.nofoiegras.org/FS_cabill_PR2.htm Ok, maybe I am a bit behind on this news, but I hadn't heard of this yet and came across the article after checking out the Adopt a Turkey site. I had never heard of that either, but what a great thing to do!! Anyway it's nice to see a politician (no matter who it is) doing something commendable. Foie Gras is a 'delicacy' that only goes to prove how barbaric human animals are. It is one of those things that makes me glad to be a vegetarian. Shake hands all round, everyone - and if you have no one beside you then shake hands with yourself! - because whether you're vegetarian for religion or health or for the planet or world hunger or for the animals (or a combo of any of these and others), then you are, by not eating animal flesh in any form, helping to stop this kind of practice. And yes, I have eaten it in the past. Very expensive. Very 'okay' - if you don't mind eating diseased parts of any food! :=( I had seen this, Jamie, but I hadn't thought to post it to the group when it first came out. Thanks for doing that. And yes, isn't the Adopt A Turkey scheme a great idea!!! Best love, Pat ;=)
