Guest guest
The Questionnaire 1) What is your name or what would you like to be called? Linda Thomas, call me Linda 2) How old are you (roughly)? I'm 37, 38 on November 14 3) Where do you live (what country - what town, city or region)? I live in a small town called Baskerville in Virginia, USA 4) How long have you been a vegetarian/vegan, or how long have you been interested in cooking vegetarian food? I 'made the change' to vegetarian eating on May 29, 2004 (Ovolactovegetarian) 5) What is your favourite (vegetarian) food or meal? Ummmmmmm So far I'd have to say stir fry with broccoli, cauliflower, snow peas, onions, with teriyaki and soy sauce over rice noodles 6) Why did you join the group? To find out more about vegetarian eating and cooking. I don't have a lot to offer in the way of recipes yet since I'm so new at this. 7) Is there anything specific you want to get out of the group? Just as much knowledge from experienced vegetarians as I can. To get feedback from others who have actually TRIED a recipe. J 8) Tell us a few of your favorite things. In general?? I like to write poetry and work on my website. I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, (whom I home school). I am an environmentalist at heart and do what I can to conserve our resources. I adore my animal family (dog- Cheyenne; cats - Willow, Séamus, 'Thorne) I like crafts and dabble at candle making and making beaded earrings and Christmas ornaments. I'm very open minded and enjoy making friends. If there's anything else anyone wants to know, just ask. J 9) Do you know of any internet sites or other groups which maybe relevant to members? About vegetarians? At the moment, no. Like I said, I'm kind of new at this. Anything else would depend on others interests I guess. 10) Is there anything else you'd like to share with the group? Hmmmmmmm not really sure what to put here that I haven't already said. I'm Wiccan; I'm a great listener; I love to cook; I'm overweight (trying to lose a lot); I don't like crowds; I'm a nurse-aide; I live way out 'in the sticks' and I love it; I love Nature; I love Celtic music; working with special needs (my daughter has Williams Syndrome); I am a sexual abuse survivor; the list goes on and on. Just ask anything you want to know.
