Questionnaire

 

1) What is your name or what would you like to be called?Alecia

 

2) How old are you (roughly)?20

 

3) Where do you live (what country - what town, city or region)?Connecticut

 

4) How long have you been a vegetarian/vegan, or how long have you been

interested in cooking vegetarian food?Vegetarian since I was 11 after seeing

Babe finally committing to an idea that had always interested me and I've been a

vegan about two years since beginning college with the exception of four months

when I studied abroad in Spain.

 

5) What is your favourite (vegetarian) food or meal?Bean burritos with soy

cheese. Uconn has some delicious falafel and vegan mozarella sticks though too.

 

6) Why did you join the group?It seems to take an angle of veganism that I think

might get more people to look into it...the idea of slimming dowm. I owe my

good health to my vegan eating habits and as I watch people struggle with other

diets, I

wish vegetarianism/veganism were a more prominent dietary choice.

 

7) Is there anything specific you want to get out of the group?Just to learn

more about how fellow vegetarians/vegans deal with difficult situations(eating

with the in-laws, dealing with those who feel bad eating meat in front of you,

or just explaining yourself)

 

8) Tell us a few of your favourite things.Animals, children, Spanish, the Red

Sox, UConn sports, my friends, my family, motorcycles, etc.

 

9) Do you know of any internet sites or other groups which maybe relevant to

members? www.peta.org ~ not everyone loves it, but I do...reminds me every time

I go there why I am a vegan and how I can explain the reasons to others

 

10) Is there anything else you'd like to share with the group?
