I have an almond recipe that I make every holiday season:

Peppered Almonds - very easy to multiply! (I included my multiplied amounts for

kicks.)

2TB butter ----- 8TB(1 stick)

1/4c brown sugar ----- 1c

1TB water ----- 6TB(1/3c)

1 1/2c whole almonds ----- 6c

kosher s & p to taste

Melt butter in saucepan. Add sugar & water. Toss in almonds & cook 5 min.

Place on oiled cookie sheet. Sprinkle w/s & p (I use LOTS of pepper). Bake @350 F

for 10 mins. Cool.

Enjoy autumn & the harvest food! Bethie

Yes, thanks very very much - easy and delicious and very 'more-ish' like all

such indulgences should be.

When I upload your lovely recipe to the Files I will probably put 'Holiday " in

front of the recipe name you gave - as a bit of a warning about the cholesterol

content ;=)

We love spicy nuts here in this household. A friend used to have a recipe for

spicy garbanzo beans too - I'll have a look for the recipe cuz you might like it

too!

Best love,

Pat ;=)
