Guest guest
> Vegetarians eat NO seafood? Woops, my mistake. I thought some ate the stuff. Sorry Bethie The term for a fish-eating 'vegetarian' is pescatarian or pesco-vegetarian (if I've spelled that correctly!), although many vegetarians dislike the second term. Technically, vegetarians eat only plants plus dairy, eggs and honey. They may not eat all of these extras, but they may eat one or all. (Vegans, who eat only a plant-based diet, also abstain from the use of anything from animals or tested on animals, so it's more than just diet. Have to say that ;=)) But it gets tricky, doesn't it? For years I called myself a vegetarian although I ate a little fish now and then, once in a while, cuz I thought that it was correct to say 'vegetarian' - at least half of the 'vegetarians' I knew ate fish. maybe more. By 'fish' I mean all forms of sea life. I changed all that for myself years ago, but I still know people who equate vegetarianism with abstaining from eating animals - and thinking that sea life and animals are, well, an ocean apart ;=) No problem ;=) Just thought it was cute and funny, that's all - especially after I too had in imagination quaffed from both bottles of the wine in question! Best, Pat ;=)
