Guest guest
> Not all people who have poultry and eat eggs are the winged demons some make us out to be. Nobody ever said you were demonic - winged or otherwise ;=) We have all kinds of vegetarians on this list (and non-vegetarians too, of course) and we can't afford to demonize our friends and fellow veggies! No worries. You are clearly a kind and caring person who has rescued some lovely animals. Good for you! I have three rescued pets, and I know what yours must mean to you. I figure it this way. At the very most there must be something like between 1 and 2 percent of people who are vegan in the so-called western world. Such a minority is bound to feel a little misunderstood - and sometimes feel they are not being heard. This should be a safe forum for them to be able to speak out about what they believe. And it doesn't hurt to listen - it makes good sense, you know ;=) All that cholesterol etc. as well as the usual cruelty (not yours!). About the goats - we have friends who rescued goats oh ages and ages ago and, in the normal course of things, the goats died of old age after a pretty pampered life. So, thank heavens, no more goat responsibility. Duty done, etc. etc. It wasn't long until they were looking for more goats to rescue, though. Loved the goats - couldn't be without the goats LOL The friends are vegetarian or vegan, but they never bred them, never milked them. They just like goats ;=) Best, Pat ;=)
