Guest guest
Just creamed corn and lima beans (no tomatoes or butter or anything else) replaces what standard canned succotash is like. Someone once introduced me to a recipe with tomatoes and other stuff, sort of like a vegetable stew. It is evidently a southern version, but not anything I recognized as succotash. Of course, now that I have relocated to south Florida, maybe I should start getting used to southern cooking. ;-) >no tomatoes? >OT...what do you use in place of BUTTER?? >Thanks, Maida! >Beth > >>Maida Genser <maidawg wrote: >>Beth, all you have to do to make succotash is mix canned creamed corn (which is really vegan!) with lima beans.
