Just creamed corn and lima beans (no tomatoes or butter or anything

else) replaces what standard canned succotash is like.

 

Someone once introduced me to a recipe with tomatoes and other stuff,

sort of like a vegetable stew. It is evidently a southern version, but

not anything I recognized as succotash. Of course, now that I have

relocated to south Florida, maybe I should start getting used to

southern cooking. ;-)
