Hi Ralph,

Buy a bag of dried lentils at the grocery. Measure out a cup, dump them

in a colander, and rinse several times with tap water. Let drain, and

set the colander on the kitchen counter. Rinse lentils twice a day, and

in a few days you'll have lentil sprouts. They will keep growing in the

colander until you refrigerate in a ziplock bag. The first time I tried

this, I had so many lentil sprouts that I couldn't eat them fast enough!

Now I use 1/4 to 1/2 cup of dried lentils - a more manageable amount for

my one-person household.

Best regards,

Karen

Thank you Karen I have always wanted to do this and have always enjoyed them when eating out. The lentils will be the first that I sprout. Is there special equiptment to be used or do you just use a jar? Thanks again, Karen. Ralph

Hello Ralph,

You're welcome! No special equipment necessary; you don't even need a

jar. The lentil sprouts can be grown in a colander; please see my

original post ;)
