Guest guest
Hi Paula!!! So glad you haven't gone into hiding!!! And yes, I have a favourite breakfast thingie, but the recipe is pretty vague: For two people, we use around 1/3 cup of orange juice, a cup of yoghurt, 1 banana, a couple of tablespoons each of ground flax seeds, nutritional yeast, wheat germ, 1 tbps blackstrap molasses, and as much milk as it takes to make it thin enough to drink without using a spoon. You can also throw in a raw egg if you're not paranoid about raw eggs. Blend like mad, adding that milk as needed. Fight the dogs over who gets first go at it. You can also do the obvious vegan version. All quantities adjusted for taste and ingredients swapped around according to whim. For soup recipes, ya gotta wait ;=) Tomorrow or so? Best love, Pat ;=) , " Paula Johnson " < blkntan@e...> wrote: > Ooh, I can see another thread from this: > > What is everyone's favorite breakfast food/drink -- and you *must* include the recipe? > > Fast and easy preferred. Guest guest
When I make breakfast smoothies, I never use a recipe it's all eyed. I use yogurt for the base. I usually go to Sam's club and you can get around 18 cups of yogurt for pretty cheap. I get the strawberry and raspberry ones. I use one individual cup of which ever yogurt I choose. Then a splash of apple juice. Then whatever fruit I feel like using. Recently blueberries because they were on sale. Or sometimes instead of apple juice I had some juice that is a blend of fruit and veggies. I forget the name of it, V something I think. Other than that, Special K w. Strawberries or granola with yogurt and fruit. I am still new to some things, and I would like to know more about what form bran comes in. Do you buy it in bulk? Does it come in the natural foods stores or your regular grocery store? Another questions off the subject is what is bulgar? I saw a recipe that I wanted to try that had it in it, but I have never had it, never cooked with it and was wondering, does it taste? What is the nutritional value? Thanks! Recipes, please! pj - But apart from our drinkable breakfast - which we don't do every morning - it's soups soups soups and more soups ;=) The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. -- Gandhi New and Improved Mail - Send 10MB messages!
