Guest guest
God dag (Good day) Pat! Thank you for the warm welcome! Yes, I'm trying to change my lifestyle by cutting back on meat (I hardly eat them these days anyway) and eating more fruits and veggies. Anyhoo, I LOVE the recipes posted on the files section! I'm not much of a cook but I'm willing to give it a try nonetheless! ) Yes, Oslo has many great restaurants. We love the Indian restaurants because you can get really yummy vegetarian dishes...and they're spicy too! Nothing kicks the gastrominal juices better than consuming spicy food lol! Okay, enough blabbering for one day hehe! Thanks again for the welcome and for not shooing me away because I'm a non- vegetarian...well at least not yet lol! ;o) ~Ira~ , " veggiehound " <veggiehound> wrote: Hello Ira - and welcome ;=) No you don't have to be a vegetarian to be in this group ;=) Oslo is one of the very beautiful cities of the world - when my son was living there, back when ;=), my dh and I went to spend Christmas with him. Wonderful! And some great restaurants too!!! We look forward to hearing from you often on this list. Best, Pat ;=)
Guest guest
And God Dag to you too, Ira ;=) Not to worry about not being a vegetarian! Few of us have *always* been vegetarians, after all, and not everyone in the world is likely to be one - not in our lifetime anyway. It's a choice, after all ;=) But this is a health group too, and they tell us that most people don't eat enough vegetables a day - so we are encouraging health (as well, of course, as vegetarianism, but you can always ignore that *lol*)! Okay? I remember Indian restaurants in Oslo - and we found some nice Italian places ;=) Also a wonderful place, dunno what it's called, very upscale/ upmarket near the theatre, on a corner in the middle of town, that had an elderly string quartet playing in the gallery as we ate. Maybe it was called Opera something . . . years ago now. Talk later ;=) Adjo (or, oops, is that Swedish only?)
