Guest guest
I mentioned your query to my dh - who also has never used the pre-marinated stuff of course - but he thought it could be really good crumbled into a prepared (your own or commercial) pasta sauce and had with noodles - or in a lasagna-type baked noodle dish. Or (what was the other one? wait, I'll ask him again) - oh yeah, used as minced be*f or ch*cken in any recipe that calls for it. I guess the point is that *we* don't think of tofu as if it were a piece of me*t - we add it to dishes, usually sauced, that sometimes take me*t and sometimes don't.. We use it as an extra, rather than as a replacement. Strange way of thinking of food, I guess *lol* Anyone else like us or are we really really strange? ;=) Come on, 'fess up, you can tell! And a happy Thursday morning (it's 06.40) to you all! Best, Pat ;=) , " veggiehound " < veggiehound> wrote: > Wish I could help - have never used it - and tomato basil seems kinda Italian > flavouring to me and I tend to use tofu mostly for asian dishes - stir fries etc. It > sounds as if it would make a great stir fry ;=) > > Now who was it on this list who said that they used these marinated tofus all > the time?
